Blue Mountain Shadows Magazine

The Blue Mountain Shadows magazine has published history and folklore of San Juan County, Utah and the Four Corners area since 1986.  Originating from Blanding, Utah, it is published June and November of each year. The BMS staff works in cooperation with San Juan County Historical Commission. We invite writers to submit articles, poetry, photographs, and profiles. On the site we only upload articles from issues that are out of print. Help that happen by ordering issues you don't have!

Data Search: (Currently unavailable.) The Search link in the left frame includes the beginning phase of an extensive data bank of key words found in past issues of Blue Mountain Shadows. The results will show which issue, and in which article you'll find the information. This is an ongoing, major project. An index of all the articles included in past issues is also available.

BMS also has a data base containing all oral interviews conducted since 1986. Downloadable in Microsoft Excel.
